Video: why must brands use social networks?

This video is an interview with one Argentina consultant on social networks. Let us remember that social networks are booming and companies (brands) have not yet become aware of new channels of communication and the new relationship that will have with your customers.
This video explains very well the reasons for which a company or brand must use social networks.
Because it is a medium that people are using to communicate, and if the mark does not want to use them, this does not preclude that people talk about the brand. Therefore necessarily brands should start to create a connection and communication with any user.
People have no limitations to speak on social networks, therefore, have become one powerful tool, larger than the traditional communication. The communication model has changed. The brand is no longer which also speaks consumers and they can say whatever they want about the brand on social networks.
The client is used to answer and discuss the topics you are interested, this includes the brands. If marks are left behind and do not use this form of communication in social networks, may not follow the line, context or tone of the subjects that interest you the consumer. There are brands that are making a space in social networks.
Social networks have changed the way of carrying out investigations, today it is easier to find people on Facebook or Twitter, to a phone or at home. People communicate with other people use email, cell phones, or other less traditional means of communication. Why brands must find other ways to investigate using internet, social networks and interactive focus groups or forums platforms.
Ages are not a limit on social networks, depending on the network will depend on the age. On Facebook it is possible to find more adults than in Messenger that will find younger groups. In this way when I have a target market by age, I have seeking a means on social networks relevant to that age to sell or obtain information for research.
Anyone that can handle email, can easily open an account in Facebook or any other social network.
The growth of social networks is exponential, many social networks have grown to millions of users. In 2000 many professionals and even companies thought that the .com was going to die and that the internet would not offer any advantage to the business. But today it is inconceivable that a company has no web site, in this same way very soon to be inconceivable that the marks are not in social networks.
Companies in 2010 are starting has been learning to use social networks, some brands have readily adopted the use of social networks. But in general, many organizations do not stop to understand, do not rely on its efficiency. Thus the media planning is more traditional than digital. Creativity generates offline and online, instead of creating a unified creativity. And most importantly lacks human resources, technology and internet penetration.
In many countries is the same as in Argentina, but we should also remember that this video is may 2010 and certain things have changed. But I'm sure still lack much progress in many of our Latin American countries.
